Tooth Extractions

Often when dentists discuss tooth extractions they are generally speaking of a wisdom tooth that is impacted. This can result in infection, pain and inflammation. In situations such as this or in other serious conditions where their are the developments of cysts surrounding the wisdom teeth, the affected person is risking the health of their jaw bone putting tooth extraction as the best available option.

When it boils down to your teeth, an extraction is an option that will only be taken when their are no other available options to save your tooth. If the tooth has been severely damaged and has become decayed or has displayed a severe amount of bone loss surrounding the tooth due to periodontal disease, then your dentist will be weighing the optoins of extracting your teeth. Removing a tooth that has decayed or has been damaged will help retain the health of teeth adjacent to it.

We are accepting the Government of Canada Canadian Dental Insurance Plan (CDCP). The CDCP is a new Canadian Dental Care Plan where individuals that do not have access to an employer provided or private dental insurance plan can apply for. As an important part of dental care and overall health, the Government of Canada recognizes the expenses that can be associated with dental treatment and is committed to helping Canadians receive the dental treatments that are required while also making it more affordable.

The CDCP is offered to help low income families who do not have dental insurance by covering some costs associated with dental services for families with net income that is under $90,000.
